This site was created to provide family members and scholars with an interest in family correspondence and history with access to primary sources and documents preserved and housed in the private collection of various members of the Mott family over four centuries. The creator of this site, Amanda Mott, is the current archivist charged with the safekeeping of these documents. Generations have played a role in preserving these records including: Charles Grey Mott, Charles Egerton Mott, Eric Alston Mott, Kate Mott, Michael C. A. Mott, Barbara McPherson, Margaret McPherson—and more.
